Taking about a two week break to pack and get ready for school. This week is my last week of work and then I’ll be heading out to drive to Santa Fe on Sunday! I’ll be staying at camp with Adventure Out before school starts, so comics will resume as soon as I get settled into my dorm and such.
People have been reblogging this recently. It’s an oldie but a goodie. Check out my little Sam Shakusky doodle from last year.
I’ve totally been lazy this past week, so that’s why there has been a lack of comics. I just want to get out of this city and go back to New Mexico for school.
Everything you need to know about our Photography department, straight from the faculty and current students. Check out our website if you want more!
Awesome video about the photography department at my school where they discuss traditional and digital forms of photography, branching out into different fields, and our school’s online magazine that Awkward Shelby is featured on. Check it out!
Tried to do something a little different from the norm. Here’s me questioning my boobs, which is something I’ve been thinking about a lot recently.
I recently watched an awesome interview with Mr. Rogers and felt it was only suiting to doodle a little bust of him.
Watch the interview here. It’s kind of long and in parts, so you’ll have to click through to the others.
Just bury me in comics when I die.
(Actually this was just an excuse to draw some of my favorite comics and books)
Sorry for no comics the past week. Here’s what I was busy doing.
SUBMISSIONS WANTED FOR A NEW ZINE BY SHELBY + ME!!
THEME: Antique fair oddities. Exquisite objects discovered at garage sales. The bizarre and the horrific, witnessed or collected.
DEADLINE (tentative): One month from now-September 3rd.
We want illustrations, paintings, collages, comics but are open to submissions of all sorts! Since this will be in a printed format we can only accept non-moving, two-dimensional files. However we would love work that contains found imagery. Perhaps you saw a weeping clown painting that cried for your personal artistic touch. Awesome. An ugly landscape painting lacking cryptids. Put Bigfoot in there. We like reclaimed art. Pretty much anything goes! If you have any questions, feel free to shoot me or Shelby a message. We’re looking forward to seeing your weird findings and rad submissions!!
I’m still too tired to make real comics and actually scan them
No comics this weekend! I’ll be at San Japan. Comics will resume Monday or Tuesday.
hahahahha so fun *cries*
